                                          ENCOUNTER IN KITCHEN MONOLOGUE   2-1-2012

I couldn’t sleep.  I was up in my room upstairs in bed.  And I couldn’t sleep.  And usually when I am like that, I’ll go downstairs and get myself something like a glass of milk or a piece of cheese or yogurt or something.  Well, I couldn’t sleep and I remembered I had a half of turkey sandwich left over from lunch.  Tryptophan. But even before I went downstairs, I stopped at the top of the stairs, because I felt something.  A kind of primal general fear of the darkness below. I never feel that way.  So I go back in my room and grab up the canister of pepper spray I keep by my bed.  I keep it by my bed but I never carry it around the house with me--well, almost never.  So now I am awake--irritated at myself for being anxious when I know there’s nothing to be afraid of in my own damn house.  I have an top tier alarm system in the damn thing and even though I live in a safe; well, safe by today’s standards, neighborhood--I figure I pay for it, so I arm it just about every night.  And tonight it was armed.  So anybody opening anything would alert me--and the security command center.  I knew this.  But still  I go downstairs with my pepper spray.  Turn on the lights.  Nothing.


While I’m rooting around in my refrigerator--I get this real strong feeling that someone is watching me.  So I look to the windows around my kitchen. I see nothing outside.  And just to make sure, I move to the light switch by the back glass door in the living room, and turn on all the lights outside, so I can see.  And there’s nothing. Everything’s in order. But I still feel like something’s out there, even though I don’t see anything.  I convince myself it’s my mood, my imagination.  So I go back to the fridge, take my sandwich out... grab up the milk... and I think I see something move out of the corner of my eye.  I mean, you wanna talk about a flight or flight moment---but I’m cool.  I move to the lights IN the kitchen...flip the  switch so it’s dark inside--and I can see everything outside.  Nothing.  Quiet.  So I am standing in the dark...in my kitchen,  and it is all lit up outside--and I am holding my sandwich so tight in my left with my pepper spray in my right... and don’t ask me why--but I quietly move to the back sliding glass door.  I can see everything out there--and there is nothing in my yard... but that’s not good enough. So I move CLOSER to the sliding door and cup my hands to the glass so I can see--better... and out of nowhere... right in my face... on the other side of the glass this thing APPEARS.  I freaked, but couldn’t move.  I WAS SCARED FROZEN STIFF.  It was looking right at me. Not more than a foot away. Looked like something out of a monster movie--a science fiction monster movie---and I instantly knew it was real.  That it was not some kid or weirdo playing games.  I KNEW this was some kind of creature that was nothing like I’d ever--could ever imagine.  So here I am frozen, close to my back-kitchen window--and this thing is on the other side.  Looking at me.  I can see the folds of it’s skin.  It had this huge head and strange little eyes.  And it seemed to be floating.  But I know it wasn’t.  Mighta been me ready to pass out. It was like I was dreaming but I knew I wasn’t.  It touched the window.  I thought it was going to reach right through and grab me.  But I couldn’t move.  And then it backed up and disappeared somewhere in the back of my house.  I was shaking like a leaf.  My sandwich was squeezed all over the floor.  I backed away from the window.  Afraid to turn my back.  Backed up all the way to my stairs, afraid to turn my back.  I quietly worked my way up the stairs to my room.  I closed the door and locked it.  Then called the police.  They said they’d send a car over right away.  When they arrived and I saw it was them, I opened the door.  I have never been so happy to see cops in my life. They checked the backyard--and found nothing.  But said they’d make sure someone came out to investigate in the light, tomorrow.  They asked me if I wanted to stay somewhere else for the night.  If they could give me a ride to a hotel, or something.  You kidding?   No way I was gonna stay in that house  until I knew more.  Next day--the cops went over my place--and found nothing.  Absolutely nothing.  Naturally, they asked if I drank or did drugs.  I told them no--but I don’t think they believed me.  I had a friend come stay with me for a couple of weeks.  No problem. And nothing since.  I sometimes think it might have been a dream of some kind--that i really didn’t see what I saw.  But I saw it.  I WAS awake. Big Foot?  Alien? Whatever it was, it was not from this world. That, I am positive of.

We hope to choose 12 TOTAL to be a part of our ALWAYS NIGHT series,  100 dollars will be paid for each submission chosen.  We will accept submissions between the time you read this and FEBRUARY 9, 2013.  (Yes, we expect to be here after December 21--as we have it from knowledgeable sources that all that date will bring is a general elevation of human consciousness).


EASY GUIDELINES:

  1. ---Submissions should be between 2 and 6 minutes.  Longer than 6 minutes, and we may edit.  Then again, if crazy excellent, we may just run the whole doggone thing.  
  2. ---You can record with just yourself or as many folks as you wish.  But whether it is you, alone--or you and a dozen of your best friends, husband, family, drinking buddies or co-workers--the prize for being chosen for series is still $100.

  4. Send video as a WMV, MPEG, FLV, AVI, FLASH, or a QUICKTIME file via attachment.  Anything more exotic and we may or may not be able to open it.

How to do it?  Any decent video camera will work.  It need not be of standard broadcast specifications--but it should be clearly viewable and of good sound quality.  Some cell-phones and tablet devices may well, also, suffice.  Keep in mind, however--we must be able to see and hear.  Beyond that, your creativity and imagination--or true experience expressed and captured--are your only limits. 


You will retain all rights to your material.  We only want your permission to broadcast on our site for the duration of our internet series ALWAYS NIGHT. 


**We will also offer a section where we will showcase any and all submissions that are NOT chosen to be as part of ALWAYS NIGHT series, but whose creators want their work to be widely seen by our viewers.  There will be no monetary compensation.**  


Your submission may also serve to acquaint us and others with your talents on camera and may lead to other work.

DRAFT   OF   COLLECTION   MEMORANDUM


OBJECT

        1.     This Memo sets forth the current intelligence requirements in the field of Flying Saucer type aircraft.

GENERAL

        1.     An alleged "Flying Saucer" type aircraft or object in flight, approximating the shape of a disc, has been reported by many observers from widely scattered places, such as the United States, Alaska, Canada, Hungary, the Island of Guam, and Japan. This object has been reported by many competent observers, including USAF rated officers. Sightings have been made from the ground as well as from the air.

        

 
   




2.     Commonly reported features that are very significant and which may aid in the investigation are as follows:

                 a.   Relatively flat bottom with extreme light-reflecting ability.

                 b.    Absence of sound except for an occasional roar when operating under super performance conditions.

                 c.    Extreme maneuverability and apparent ability to almost hover.

                 d.    A plan form approximating that of an oval or disc with a dome shape on the top surface.

                 e.    The absence of an exhaust trail except in a few instances when it was reported to have a bluish color, like a Diesel exhaust, which persisted for approximately one hour. Other reports indicated a brownish smoke trail that could be the results of a special catalyst or chemical agent for extra power.

                 f.     The ability to quickly disappear by high speed or by complete disintegration.

                 g.     The ability to suddenly appear without warning as if from an extremely high altitude.

                 h.     The size most reported approximated that of a C-54 or Constellation type aircraft.

                 i.     The ability to group together very quickly in a tight formation when more than one aircraft are together.

                 j.     Evasive action ability indicates possibility of being manually operated, or possibly by electronic or remote control devices.

                 k.     Under certain power conditions, the craft seems to have the ability to cut a clear path through clouds -- width of path estimated to be approximately one-half mile. Only one incident indicated this phenomenon. 
  
                                                             

 
 





   
   

                                                        SECRET

       3.    The first sightings in the U.S. were reported around the middle of May.  The last reported sighting took place in Toronto, Canada, 14 September. The greatest activity in the U.S. was during the last week of June and the first week of July.

       4.    This strange object, or phenomenon, may be considered, in view of certain observations, as long-range aircraft capable of a high rate of climb, high cruising speed (possibly sub-sonic at all times) and highly maneuverable and capable of being flown in very tight formation. For the purpose of analysis and evaluation of the so-called "flying saucer" phenomenon, the object sighted is being assumed to be a manned aircraft, of Russian origin, and based on the perspective thinking and actual accomplishments of the Germans.

       5.    There is also a possibility that the Horten brothers' perspective thinking may have inspired this type of aircraft - particularly the "Parabola", which has a crescent plan form. Records show that only a glider version was built of this type aircraft. It is reported to have been built in Hellegenberg, Germany, but was destroyed by fire before having ever been flown. The Horten brothers' latest trend of perspective thinking was definitely toward aircraft configurations of low aspect ratio. The younger brother, Riemar, stated that the "Parabola" configuration would have the least induced drag - which is a very significant statement. The theory supporting this statement should be obtained if possible.

        6.    The German High Command indicated a definite interest in the Horten type of flying wing and were about to embark on a rigorous campaign to develop such aircraft toward the end of the war. A Horten design, known as the IX, which was designated as the Go-8-229 and the Go-P-60 (night fighter) was to be manufactured by the Gotha Plant. It is reported that a contract for fifty such aircraft was planned, but only three or four were built. This plant is now in the hands of the Russians. A recent report indicates that the Russians are now planning to build a fleet of 1,800 Horten VIII (six engine pusher) type flying wing aircraft. The wing span is 131 feet. The sweepback angle is 30 degrees. The Russian version is reported to be jet propelled.
