"BEEN HERE NEGROES"...CONSIDER: Quit allowing your/ourselves to be played for chumps.  Used by "Others" to gain and grow THEIR situation for THEIR pride-in-kin. 

Consider all the sad-ass ways you/we show up in every damn thing.  "College wasn't made for me"... ( A young Negro standing on a box declares...) Huh? What kind oif damn commercial is that?

...and a TON of other sad-ass slipped in downtrodden-slanted portrayals.

Some of best Black athletes on the planet show up to rep-exceptional--their rallying song?  The sad/slow gospel downward feel "Black Anthem". Great for funerals and sober occasions... but to intro football?

ENOUGH of: "I'm great because I..."(pick any of a bunch of condescending inner dialogue and/or subtext phrases dished out toward  "Been Here" Black Americans...said by so-called Liberals,  self back-patting

"TWELVE YEARS A SLAVE" with usual poison images of a Native Black on tippy-toe with a rope around his f-ing neck--for the kids to put in their heads from early on. *A movie myself and a celebrated National Book Award winning Native Black American writer passed on when pitched to us as something we might be interested in writing. Why? "Same ol' same ol' warmed over, served up.  Simply, no matter what kind of lips you try and paint on THAT pig...'still ugly as sh--.  And more traumatic for youth psyches than helping any damn thing.

ROCKY ? (big blonde white dude BEATS a Black Fighter to DEATH?(ALI)...AND CALVARY IS PERSONIFIED BY "ITALIAN STALLION"... great movie-theater experience for young Black kids, just freegin' great...and on and on... 

Recently read where Chinese in China got ticked for questionable portrayal of "Chinese eyes" in a commercial.  BOOM! Apologies and immediate removal.  THAT'S progress.

And worse, Native Black Americans Black-Faced Folks from all over the planet dissin' you/us on the down-low(and you know it's true)...they're friends to the "Been-here" Negroes who got somethin' they can use to better THEIR situation(understood...it's "resourceful")--BUT... a fair more than a few down-nose look toward those who are still lookin' for a way up. 

First step?  OWN YOUR LONG HISTORY AND CONTRIBUTIONS TO THIS LAND CALLED "AMERICA".  KNOW, FEEL, REPRESENT... This is YOUR gotdamn country. Be bold in your mind about it.  Own it.  Your "unique" Native Black American History/Culture/"People".

Native Blacks have a TON of slicks and clevers who can and do "make bank" on things they KNOW ain't cool.  Hell, as a writer in Hollywood for a spell, got caught a few times on crap "I" can't stand(a few things had some usual suspect arrogant sneaky rewriting done behind my back)

For my part, it's all about the young who are handed down the same crap in different ways.
